FAQ

Here are some frequently asked questions that will assist in your time-lapse project

Where do you operate?

We are based in Manchester, UK but are happy to operate anywhere in Europe.

How long can you film for?

Time-lapse projects can last anywhere from a few hours to a few years. We can install a camera for 2 months at a time before a site visit is needed. We like to visit more frequently to ensure the highest quality of product. We have no minimum requirement.

How long does it take to install a time-lapse camera?

We recommend organising a ‘recce’ day in which we visit site before the time-lapse project is about to commence. This means we can scout the best vantage point and ensure we have all the relevant clamps to attach the camera to get that perfect shot. After that the actual installation can be done in less than an hour. Obviously this is very much dependent on site access and schedules.

Can you install a time-lapse camera anywhere?

There are very few places our camera rigs can’t go. This will be subject to a site visit beforehand to determine the best location.

How much editing is required? Does it cost more?

All our editing is done in house and is included in all quotes. A random selection of stills is fairly useless to you so we ensure all the work is done for you. Editing can take anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of weeks depending on the scale of the project. We endeavour to return all 1st drafts within 1 week.

What frequency are the images taken?

This hugely depends on what we’re filming. It can be every 5 seconds up to every hour or even every day. We find every 5 minutes covers most time-lapse projects.

Does video cost extra?

We feel that adding some introduction video really helps establish what’s going on in the project. We include video, time-lapse and royalty free music in all our packages.
